Revisar el género desde la óptica de la heterocolonialidad

Abstract

The text aims to revisit the concept of gender from the point of view of the lesbian feminist and decolonial critique of hegemonic white Euro-North American feminism, which has disregarded heterosexuality as a determining factor in the constitution of gender, as well as the imbrication of gender, race, sexuality and class. If hegemonic white feminism was accused of not taking into account the element of sexuality by lesbian feminism, we can accuse lesbian feminism of not having considered heterosexuality as being structured in colonial power and its implications in the constitution of gender from this reading of decolonial feminism. Finally, I intend to argue that feminist theory would not advance without presupposing a critique of the heterocolonial capitalist system in determining gender, so that the feminist struggle does not dispense with self-critical practices and coalitions with various anti-capitalist social movements.
