This article investigates the phenomenon of gender violence denialism through the lens of epistemic injustice. Drawing on feminist epistemology and theories of epistemic injustice, we analyze how the mechanisms that perpetuate gender-based violence also enable its systematic denial. The argument begins by first conceptualizing gender-based violence, emphasizing its epistemic dimension. Next, we examine gender violence denialism as a mechanism for perpetuating such violence, delving into the dynamics and manifestation of this phenomenon as a further form of aggression. This is followed by an in-depth examination of epistemic injustice, particularly testimonial and hermeneutical injustice, as it manifests in the dismissal of gender violence claims. Finally, we explore epistemic resistance, focusing on the #MeToo movement as a collective strategy to challenge credibility deficits and reshape dominant epistemic structures. We highlight the necessity of an epistemic approach to addressing gender violence, arguing that legal and social reforms must be accompanied by a transformation in knowledge production and validation processes. Ultimately, we seek to contribute to feminist epistemology by offering a conceptual framework for analyzing gender violence denialism and emphasizing the role of epistemic resistance in countering systematic silencing.
