About the Journal

Logosfera. Journal of Communication, Pragmatics and Philology is an academic publication founded in 2026 by Rafael Crismán Pérez (University of Seville) with the aim of creating a space for critical reflection on language and communication studies in their theoretical, historical, and applied dimensions. The journal is published by the Pandora Association for Feminist Studies and Contemporary Thought (Spanish Tax ID: G16756496), a Spanish non-profit organization that promotes critical reflection, situated thought, and knowledge from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The journal focuses on the study of communicative phenomena from pragmatic, discursive, and philological perspectives, addressing both conceptual foundations and the social and cultural uses of language. Its scope includes, among others, the following fields:

  • Pragmatics and discourse analysis

  • Verbal and media communication

  • Philological and historical studies of language

  • Rhetoric, argumentation, and communication theory

  • Applied linguistics and interdisciplinary language studies

Logosfera promotes original research that demonstrates methodological rigor, conceptual clarity, and significant contributions to scholarly knowledge in the fields of communication and linguistic studies.

The journal publishes original, unpublished articles subject to external double-blind peer review and seeks to establish itself as a leading academic forum within the Hispanic and international scholarly community.

Editorial Management

Logosfera is a digital, open-access, non-commercial publication. It is published under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0) and does not charge any submission or publication fees to authors, nor access fees to readers. The journal is sustained autonomously through the collaborative work of the Pandora Association and its editorial team.

Editorial decisions are made collectively by the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial team, and the Scientific Advisory Board. The journal is published on a biannual basis and operates according to principles of transparency, publication ethics, and political commitment to feminist critique.

Calls for Papers and Publication Schedule

The journal publishes two issues per year. Submissions (articles, interviews, or book reviews) are received during two annual submission periods: from 1 January to 31 March (for the June issue) and from 1 July to 30 September (for the December issue).

The editorial team reserves the right to close a call for papers before the stated deadline if an exceptional number of submissions is received. Any changes will be announced on the journal’s website. Accepted submissions will be published in the corresponding semester issue after completion of the peer review process.

Editorial Evaluation and Peer Review

Submitted manuscripts undergo a two-stage evaluation process: an initial editorial review focused on thematic relevance and formal compliance, followed by an external double-blind peer review process.

Before submitting book reviews or interviews, prospective contributors are encouraged to contact the editorial team (seminarioasociacionpandora@gmail.com) to confirm their suitability within the journal’s scope.

Authors are advised to consult the Author Guidelines prior to submission.
