Call for paper Vol. 1 Is.1.: Signification and Experience in Contemporary Graphic and Visual Media
Perramus invites the submission of original and unpublished articles for its inaugural issue, devoted to the theoretical and critical study of meaning-making processes in graphic and visual media.
This first issue seeks to bring together research that reflects on the ways in which image, text, and their mediations shape aesthetic, cultural, and political experience in contemporary contexts. Contributions may address, among others, the following areas:

Theories of the sign applied to visual and multimodal media;

Semiotic analyses of comics, graphic novels, and illustration;

Interactive narratives and video games from hermeneutic or semiotic perspectives;

Image, memory, and configurations of trauma within specific cultural contexts;

Processes of mediation, materiality, and the construction of meaning;

Critical methodologies for the study of visual culture.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary approaches engaging with semiotics, literary theory, hermeneutics, philosophy of language, and cultural studies.
