Perramus. Journal of Semiotic Studies on Graphic and Visual Media is firmly committed to ensuring academic integrity and originality in all published content. The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism and any form of improper textual or intellectual appropriation.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

Screening Procedures
All submitted manuscripts are subject to originality screening using text similarity detection software prior to peer review. When significant overlap is identified, the editorial team evaluates the context and extent of the similarity.
If substantial plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical textual practices are detected, the manuscript may be:

Returned to the author(s) for clarification or correction

Withdrawn at any stage of the editorial process
In cases where plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or formal retractions, in accordance with international publishing standards.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are entirely original and that all sources are properly cited according to the journal’s guidelines. Proper acknowledgment must be given not only to textual sources but also to visual materials, including illustrations, panels, photographs, and archival images.
